Error message

  • Deprecated function: The each() function is deprecated. This message will be suppressed on further calls in ec_product_ptypes_access() (line 264 of /home3/newarkki/public_html/drupal/sites/all/modules/ecommerce/ec_product/ec_product.module).
  • Deprecated function: implode(): Passing glue string after array is deprecated. Swap the parameters in drupal_get_feeds() (line 394 of /home3/newarkki/public_html/drupal/includes/common.inc).

Scratch Programming

Students participate in a 10 week program, where they learn creative computing utlizing the Scratch Programming language created by MIT. Scratch provides a  enriched learning envoirnment for people of all ages. It allows you programming envoirnment that is engaging utlizing multimedia, hands-on and self discovery of its wide range of topics. 

By the end of the 10 week program the students will be able to complete the following: 

  • Understand the overall integrated development envoirnment of Scratch.
  • Using Motion and Drawing in simple programs.
  • Using Sound, Multimedia and Video for simple program.
  • Using an object oriented or structured approach to programing with Functions and procedures.
  • Using variables to store information that will be used in simple programs.
  • Using decision making and control flow design to make interactive projects.
  • Use string commands and text manipulation techniques.
  • Use ArrayLists to store complex programs
